If you don't have 10 minutes, you don't have a life

"If you don't have 10 minutes, you don't have a life." - Tony Robbins

How often do you hear someone say ‘I don’t have time’?

We have the power to design our life in the way that WE want. Every day, we make decisions that convey to the world including children, relatives, co workers, etc. about how we want to be treated as well as to ourselves. We choose what matters to us to invest our energy and time in.

Remember we accept the things that occupy our time, we have that choice.  We are mainly the masters of our own choices, we choose what we want to do and what we don’t.

If we build a life in which we don't have ten minutes to accomplish ONE thing that would bring us joy, then what are we doing? Are we prioritising things that are not helping us achieve our goals, wasting our time, or stealing joy from our lives?

Can we not take ten minutes to clear our head, 10 minutes to work out or 10 minutes to work on something that will enable you to reach your goal... If not then there's definitely a bigger issue at hand than simply running out of time which is the common excuse.

Why?  People use the excuse of not having enough time to avoid doing difficult but necessary tasks. It's a justification we believe for not starting something. A reason not to make an attempt at starting. So, we convince ourselves that we don't have enough time to be concerned.  The truth is that the reason we don’t have those 10 minutes involves self-doubt, perfection, fear, guilt, or anxiety.  It can also mean that the goal is not really a goal you want to achieve.

Ten minutes, 600 seconds, less than 1% of your day…..

If we can’t do 10 minutes there's no use if you don't work out for an hour at the gym.

If we don’t have 10 minutes to stop to unwind, read or write in your journal for 30 minutes there’s no point.

If I can’t spend a few hours working on the latest project, why bother?

Guilty – aren’t we all? The reality is that you can transform your life in just ten minutes! Ten minutes of intention-setting and meditation can completely change your day. Seven minutes of vigorous exercise is beneficial to your health.  Six minutes of reading reduces stress. Seven minutes of vigorous exercise is beneficial to your health.

You get the gist…..These things accumulate – 10 minutes doing something is 10 minutes more than not.  Why not change things and today dedicate just 10 minutes to yourself or your objective and see what happens.
